What is an offer ad?

An offer ad leads with a deal, such as a percentage off, free shipping or a first-order discount, as the main hook. It's built to convert people who already know the brand or are close to buying, and works best with a clear deadline or condition.

Why this offer / discount ad works

01
Colour contrast
A solid yellow background clashes with the blue-and-white feed, making the ad impossible to miss.
02
Hard light, high energy
Crisp shadows and bright tones make the food look fresh, vibrant and appetising.
03
Complementary accent
The blue fork handle is the only cool colour and draws the eye to the tray.
04
Zero clutter
With only an offer and one dish, the message can be understood in under a second.

Full creative breakdown

Who this ad targets

Broad audiences aged roughly 25–55 who are open to trying a meal delivery service if the deal is good enough. The healthy-looking chicken and greens appeal to people who want lighter, nutritious options, while the free meals offer attracts value-conscious shoppers. Because there is no assumed brand knowledge, it works for cold audiences and lookalikes. The vibrant summer look also suits seasonal campaigns.

Copywriting analysis

The copy is purely transactional: a single offer line broken into three parts with the middle part enlarged. "Get up to" qualifies the maximum, "8 FREE MEALS" carries the value and "in your first order" sets the condition. Using all-caps white text on yellow keeps it legible and loud. By leaving out the brand name and features, the creative hands the explaining to the primary text and landing page, which is a smart split for a scroll-stopping image. It also makes the creative easy to localise or reuse for other offers.

Visual design

A saturated yellow-orange background fills the whole frame and is the defining design choice. Direct hard light from one side casts strong shadows of the tray, glass and fork, creating depth and a trendy, editorial food style. The props are minimal and placed to guide the eye toward the meal. The white rounded sans-serif text sits above and below the tray, framing the food. The red chicken, green spinach and blue fork add colour variety without fighting the background.

How to adapt this template for your brand

Choose a bold background colour from your brand palette that contrasts with the platform interface.
Shoot your best-looking product overhead with hard directional light for crisp shadows.
Add one or two simple props in a complementary colour to guide the eye.
Write your offer in three short lines, with the value in the largest type.
Test different background colours and keep the layout identical to isolate the effect.

Tips for ready meals ads on Meta

Use on Meta for broad prospecting and Advantage+ Shopping campaigns where creative does the targeting. Bright single-colour ads tend to win on click-through rate, so pair them with a strong landing page to keep conversion rates up. Build a colour series (yellow, teal, pink) with the same layout to keep the look fresh. In Stories and Reels, keep the top 14% and bottom 20% free of key text so the profile bar and CTA sticker do not cover it.

About this creative

The creative is a single, bold hero shot on a saturated yellow-orange background. A CookUnity tray holds sliced, chargrilled chicken coated in a red spicy glaze over fresh spinach and farro, with a small cup of orange sauce in the corner. A glass of iced tea and a fork with a bright blue handle sit beside the tray, adding props and a pop of complementary colour. Hard, direct sunlight creates crisp shadows, giving the image a punchy, summery, high-energy feel. White text carries the offer: "Get up to", a large heavy "8 FREE MEALS", and "in your first order". There are no features, prices or brand claims, just the food and the deal. The colour choice is deliberate: yellow is rare in social feeds, so the ad stands out instantly against the blues and whites of the Meta interface. This version is cut in a 9:16 vertical layout built for Stories and Reels placements.
