What is a product shot ad?
A product shot ad puts the product itself at the centre of the frame, usually on a clean or styled background with little text. It works best when the packaging or product is distinctive enough to stop the scroll and the viewer already understands what it does.

Full creative breakdown
Who this ad targets
This ad targets founders, CEOs, CFOs and finance leads at VC-backed startups in the US. They care about burn, runway, hiring and how they compare with peers, especially in a tougher funding climate. The Capital Efficiency Index gives them benchmark data they cannot easily get elsewhere, while introducing Pilot as the finance partner that understands startup metrics, so it works well for awareness and lead generation.
Copywriting analysis
The headline presents two trends that seem to contradict each other, then asks 'What's going on?'. That paradox creates instant curiosity for founders who track burn and headcount closely. The violet colour on the first sentence separates the data from the question in darker purple. The subhead names the report so the reader knows the answer lives inside it. 'See the data' is a precise, low-commitment CTA that suits an analytical audience.
Visual design
The left side holds a two-tone headline in violet and deep purple on a pale lavender background, followed by a short supporting line and a violet 'See the data' pill with an arrow. The bottom-right is filled by a dark-purple report cover with a white title, a line chart and a magnifier highlighting a data point. The Pilot wordmark anchors the bottom-left.
How to adapt this template for your brand
- Turn your report or index into a clean cover mock-up.
- Write a headline that teases one counterintuitive finding.
- Add a one-line subhead explaining what the data covers.
- Use a 'See the data' or 'Get the report' button.
- Run several headlines with the same report visual.
Tips for accounting software ads on Meta
LinkedIn is the strongest channel here: target founders, CFOs and VPs of Finance at venture-backed companies and use a Lead Gen Form or Document Ad. On Meta, use interest and lookalike audiences built from startup customers. Keep the primary text focused on one data point and the year of the report, and test question-style headlines against statement headlines.
About this creative

What's going on?', set in bold purple tones on a pale lavender background. A short supporting line follows: 'See the Capital Efficiency Index'. A violet pill button with a monospaced 'See the data' label and an arrow invites the click. The bottom-right quarter shows a mock-up of the report cover in deep purple, with a white title, the subtitle 'A data-driven look at startup efficiency', the year 2026 and a line chart with small finance icons and a magnifying glass highlighting a peak. The Pilot wordmark anchors the bottom-left. The ad belongs to a series that pairs different headlines with the same report visual. It targets founders and finance leaders at VC-backed startups and works for awareness and lead generation, positioning Pilot as an authority on startup finance.
