What is a testimonial ad?
A testimonial ad uses a real customer's words, such as a review, quote or comment, as the main message. It answers a buyer's doubts with social proof rather than brand claims, and works especially well when the testimonial is specific about who the customer is and what changed for them.

Full creative breakdown
Who this ad targets
This ad targets founders, CEOs and early finance hires at venture-backed startups in the US who are choosing a bookkeeping or accounting provider. They want a partner that has worked with companies like theirs and can scale through fundraising rounds. The logo wall and funding stat speak to ambition and credibility, making the ad effective for consideration and retargeting.
Copywriting analysis
This square version keeps the same claim, 'The best bookkeeping starts with Pilot', on two wider lines, which reads faster in the feed. The green 'Pilot' makes the brand the payoff of the sentence. The funding stat '$9B and counting' links the service to growth and fundraising success, a strong motivator for founders. The logos replace any need for feature copy: the proof is who already uses Pilot.
Visual design
A pale grey-white background keeps the layout clean. A bold indigo headline sits at the top with the word Pilot picked out in green. A short indigo subhead introduces the funding stat. Below, eight customer logos are arranged in a two-column grid in a single indigo tone, so they read as one block. The Pilot.com URL anchors the bottom centre.
How to adapt this template for your brand
- Write a confident one-line claim about your category.
- Add one big number that shows customer success.
- Collect 6-8 recognisable customer logos you have permission to use.
- Recolour the logos in one brand tone for a tidy grid.
- Close with your URL or a single CTA.
Tips for accounting software ads on Meta
Use this on Meta for retargeting and lookalike audiences of startup founders, and on LinkedIn for Sponsored Content aimed at founders and finance leads at funded companies. Make sure you have permission to display every customer logo. Test the square version in Feeds and the vertical version in Stories, and pair it with primary text that names the services: bookkeeping, tax and CFO support.
About this creative
This square Pilot.com ad uses a logo wall as social proof. On a clean pale grey-white background, a bold indigo headline reads 'The best bookkeeping starts with Pilot', with the word Pilot highlighted in green. A subhead adds a strong proof point: Pilot customers have raised over $9B and counting. Below, eight customer logos are arranged in a neat two-column grid, all in the same indigo tone: OpenAI, Lattice, Airtable, Scale, Maev, CoinTracker, Medcorder and Bridge. The Pilot.com URL sits at the bottom in bold indigo as the only call to action. There are no photos or buttons, so the recognisable logos carry the message. The ad targets founders and finance leads at venture-backed startups who are choosing a bookkeeping partner, and it works well for consideration and retargeting by linking Pilot with successful, well-funded companies.
